How cashless treatment and travel insurance work at MedPark

"Do you take my insurance" is one of the first questions visitors ask, and it deserves a clear answer rather than a line in a footer. This explains how it works at MedPark.

Cashless treatment means MedPark settles the bill directly with your insurer or their assistance company, instead of you paying up front and claiming it back when you get home. For most visitors this is the difference between a phone call and a large card payment on holiday.

MedPark works with major international insurance companies and assistance networks for cashless treatment, including Allianz, AXA, Cigna and Bupa.

If your insurer is not on that list it does not mean you are not covered. Most policies reimburse treatment abroad, and MedPark provides the itemised invoice and medical report your insurer will ask for. Bring your policy details either way and the international patients team will check before treatment where the situation allows.

  • Your insurance policy number.
  • The insurer's 24-hour emergency telephone number, which is usually on the policy card.
  • Your passport.
  • Your hotel name and room number.

In an emergency you are treated first. The paperwork follows. For anything less urgent, the international patients team will contact your insurer or assistance company to confirm cover before treatment begins, so you know where you stand.

It happens, particularly at night and at weekends. In that case you may be asked to pay and reclaim afterwards. MedPark provides an itemised invoice and the medical report your insurer will ask for.

MedPark accepts cash and credit card as well as international health insurance, in Egyptian pounds, euros, US dollars and British pounds. Ask at reception for current prices before treatment begins if you are paying directly.

MedPark works directly with hotels, tour operators and insurance assistance networks across Hurghada, El Quseir and the wider Red Sea region. If you coordinate care for guests or clients, contact MedPark to set up an account rather than sending people to the front desk each time.
